The Torch High Technology Industry Development Center (Torch Center) of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) recently unveiled the name plaques of its first group of regional centers. The MIIT Torch Center Yangtze River Delta Center is located in SIP.

The center aims to promote technology transfer and commercialization, innovative talent cultivation and innovation ecosystem development so as to support Suzhou to serve as a main contributor to Jiangsu province’s goal of building an industrial science and technology innovation center with global influence, and fuel the development of high-tech industries and clusters in the YRD region.

The Torch Center (Suzhou) Operation Co Ltd, founded in SIP in October, is in charge of the operation of the center.
